Getting Here

The majority of people fly into Japan through Narita/Tokyo. Some are arriving through Hanada/Tokyo nowadays, depending on who you are flying with, and sometimes through Osaka international airport in the Kansai region .

Our suggestion is to get to Hakuba the easiest, fastest and most stress free possible way, as you may be tired and no doubt eager to start your holiday and get on the slopes as soon as possible.

So allow us to take care of all your transfer needs.

We recommend Chuo taxi shuttle bus ¥15,900 plus ¥1,000 per ski /board bag.

Alternatively, as part of your package, we will come down personally and pick you up in our 10 seater mini bus. We will transport your gear and your group back to Hakuba in your own time and in your own space from the airport or your hotel (please ask for details).

Usually the drive trip from Narita or Hanada to Hakuba is 4 to 5 hours.

Once your stay in Hakuba has come to an end, why not be adventurous and try getting the Shinkansen (bullet train) back from Nagano to Tokyo or to your next destination in Japan.

Let us help you organize this.

Please note the Shinkansen does not go from Hakuba direct to the airport as some people may let you believe! There are other buses and trains needed in between !

If your keen to do it yourself please look at Hyperdia for travel times and costs within Japan.

Also if your going to travel by rail extensively throughout Japan why not think about a JR pass.

  • We spent just over a week in Hakuba and would highly recommend this villa. We stayed in a large one bed villa with a bright spacious bedroom upstairs, well equipped kitchen downstairs with a comfortable living space. The wifi was excellent and we used their apple tv to stream movies. We also had the use of bikes and a car while we were there. The bikes were great for exploring locally and the car for shopping and getting to nearby trailheads. Paul and Kanako were excellent hosts. They picked us up from the train station when we arrived and gave us lots of tips on the local area...

  • From the moment we booked to our sensational stay in Hukuba, Paul and Kanako were fantastic hosts offering amazing advice, helping us around town and to the ski resorts. The cabins were lovely and great to return to after a day out on the slopes. It was great to be able to relax, watch Netflix and cook a meal in the self contained villas...

  • Literally was the perfect stay. We anticipated it would be because of all the good things we'd heard about this place prior to our stay and we weren't disappointed. The communication from both Paul and Kanako from the second we booked was excellent...

  • Kanako, Paul and their awesome instructor son, were great hosts. Very friendly and helpful in every way. The villa was more than we expected it to be. Fully equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Great location with easy access to shops and supermarket. Friends who view our pix were very impressed. Balls Deep Inn will top our list if we ever visit Hakuba again!!
